How to use a custom domain name for my Blogspot/Blogger account

You can establish a more professional identity for your Blogger® blog by configuring it to point to one of the domain names you registered through us. Instead of entering your Blogger URL to view your latest blog post, visitors enter your domain name’s URL. For example, by mapping your example.blogspot.com blog to your www.example.com domain name, visitors focus solely on your domain name.

To point your Blogger blog to your domain name, you set up domain name mapping, which configures your blog settings and domain name. You update your settings in your Blogger account and our DNS Zone File:

  1. Login to Blogger and update the information on your Settings or do step 1 –  4 in Google help article.
  2. Login to your Account Manager
  3. Click on Domains -> Select the domains you want to manage. or click on the + sign to show drop down menu click on Manage DomainDomain-page
  4. On the left side menu under manage click on DNS Management
  5. Do option 5-9 in Google help article, see image on how to add A records and CNAMES.DNS-Management-Naija-Domains
  6. Click Save Changes and wait for your site to propagate.
